The following is part of a letter I received in the mail, from the Minister of
our church.
"In the midst of all of our activities and the situations in the world, in the midst of war,terrorism and tragedy, in the midst of illness, death and dying, comes this message from the angeles,"Fear not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy.For unto you a child is born in Bethlehem," Luke 2:10-11. Yes, God has sent his son to us for just such a time as this. In the midst of it all, God's presence is here in the laughter of children, the baking of cookies, the decorating of the tree, the birth of a child, and the giving and receiving of gifts. God is present with us in the midst of all that is going on, communicating that God will never leave us but always be in our lives, in this child Jesus, in the Risen Christ. And, as we become aware of that presence, let us share the good news with others. Let us shout it, pray it, love it, give it so that the world will know that Child who was born can change everyone's heart and bring peace to all. May this special season be even more special for you as you welcome the Christ Child into your own life."

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!!! Guest of Honor: Jesus Christ Date: Every day. Traditionally, December 25 but He's always around, so the date is flexible.... Time: Whenever you're ready. (Please don't be late, though, or you'll miss out on all the fun!) Place: In your heart.... He'll meet you there. (You'll hear Him knock.) Attire: Come as you are... grubbies are okay. He'll be washing our clothes anyway. He said something about new white robes and crowns for everyone who comes. Tickets: Admission is free. He's already paid for everyone... (He says you wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway.. it cost Him everything He had.) But still need to accept the ticket!! Refreshments: New wine, bread, and a far-out drink He calls "Living Water," followed by a supper that promises to be out of this world! Gift Suggestions: Your life. He's one of those people who already has everything else. (He's very generous in return though. Just wait until you see what He has for you!) Entertainment: Joy, Peace, Truth, Light, Life, Love, Real Happiness, Communion with God, Forgiveness, Miracles, Healing, Power, Eternity in Paradise, Contentment, and much more! (All "G" rated, so bring your family and friends.)
